Manufactured Home Tiedown Inspections
VA, FHA and HUD Compliant Engineer Certified Manufactured Home Tiedown Inspections
Hud Compliant Tiedown Inspections and
HUD Compliant Permanent Foundation Certifications
Manufactured homes are a popular home
choice because of their affordability. They differ from in-place
built homes in several ways, one of which is that they do not come
with a foundation. The foundation will be added during the
installation of the home, at the home’s permanent location. In
Florida, high winds, hurricanes and flooding can have adverse
effects on manufactured homes that are not properly secured. Florida
code and HUD require that mobile homes be properly secured against
wind and flood waters by installing proper foundations and tiedowns.
Proper Tiedowns, in conjunction with
permanent foundations secure the manufactured home to the ground to
ensure that the home will not blow away in high winds or float away
during flooding.
A Tie Down inspection is typically
required for FHA, VA. and conventional financing for manufactured
homes. This inspection is an engineer certified inspection that
ensures the proper tie downs have been installed.
